Day 16: Tireless Pursuit – Be Exhausted for the Lord
Scripture: The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest… (Matthew 9:37-38).
Reflection:
When your life is over, what will be your legacy? Honestly think about it. What will be your legacy when your life is over? How will people remember you? Diligently seeking God or chasing shadows? Resolve to “be exhausted for the LORD”—work so hard for Jesus and His kingdom that eternal rest sounds like heaven. That’s the whole point of the eternal rest we read about in Hebrews. That’s a life well lived.
Matthew 9:37-38 demands tireless pursuit. Ephesians 5:16 urges redeeming time: “Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” Colossians 3:23 calls for hearty labor: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord…” The harvest awaits; share the Gospel, serve others, put God first in everything.
What are you focused on? Because a tireless devotion to God changes everything.
Today’s Challenge:
- Make a list of physical focuses stealing your time.
- Cross out the distractions.
Prayer:
Lord, here am I, send me to Your harvest. I repent of laziness. Strengthen my pursuit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
