Day 42: Practical Will of God
Scripture: Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Reflection:
Do you even know God’s will, or are you guessing? 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 is a command: rejoice, pray, thank—always. This isn’t optional Christianity; it’s the baseline.
Daniel prayed three times a day, windows open (Daniel 6:10)—even under death threat.
Philippians 4:6-7 promises peace in the storm—but the key is obeying first.
Got a tough moment? Do it anyway. Force the action; the feeling follows.
Half-hearted obedience is disobedience. God sees the heart.
Today’s Challenge:
- Face one hard thing.
- Out loud—rejoice, pray, thank.
- Do it until your heart shifts.
Prayer: My God, Lord Jesus, I repent of distracted days. Teach me Your will. Set me on fire. In Your name, Amen.
