Day 34
Find Strength in Waiting

*“The Lord is good to those who wait for him.”* (Lamentations 3:25)

Reflection:
Hannah poured out silent tears in the temple—barren for years, mocked by her rival, heart completely shattered. But she kept seeking God anyway (1 Samuel 1:15). Isaiah 40:31 promises that those who hope in the Lord “will renew their strength” and “soar on wings like eagles.” Psalm 27:14 adds, “Wait for the Lord; be strong.” Where are you in your own “not yet” season—job hunt dragging on, healing that hasn’t come, prodigal who hasn’t returned?

Waiting doesn’t feel like a gift, but it’s actually where God forges eagle wings that launch you higher than any quick fix ever could. Hannah’s desolate patience didn’t just bring her a son—it birthed Samuel, the prophet who would crown Israel’s kings. God wasn’t holding out on her; he was building capacity in her for greater impact. Your current delay might feel like a dead end, but it could be the runway for your most powerful testimony yet. Frustration tells you to quit; faith tells you to trust the timing. Every prolonged sunrise teaches deeper dependence on him, turning what feels like worm-crawling into thermal-powered flight. Keep leaning into the goodness He promises for those who wait. Your wings are forming. Don’t quit. Hold on to Jesus, and He will hold on to you.

What waiting season feels wasted to you right now?

Today’s Challenge: Name your specific delay out loud. Journal Isaiah 40:31 over it: “This is building [specific strength in me].” Pray it while walking outside. Hannah’s tears watered a legacy.

Prayer: Patient God, Hannah’s barren waiting shows me that delay forges eagles. Renew my hope through every “not yet” until I soar in your perfect timing. Give me strength and faith to remain obedient until You provide an answer …. even when it takes years. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
