Day 127: Earnestly Seeking God’s Face
Scripture: Job 8:5-6

“If you will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy, if you are pure and upright, surely then He will rouse himself for you and restore your rightful habitation.”

How earnestly do you pursue God in your daily life? Bildad urges in Job 8:5-6, “If you will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy, if you are pure and upright, surely then He will rouse Himself for you and restore your rightful habitation.” This reminds us that diligent seeking and pleading with God lead to His attention and restoration. 2 Chronicles 7:14 promises, “If My people… seek My face… I will hear from heaven.” Earnest pursuit transforms our relationship with Him.

Reflection: Bildad’s call to seek God earnestly challenges us to pursue Him with sincerity and humility. Seeking God’s face—His presence and favor—requires a heart that longs for Him above all else. Is that your heart’s desire? If not, how do you cultivate a heart that seeks Him first? When we plead with Him in faith, He responds with mercy and restoration. Today, let your pursuit of God be marked by an earnest desire for His presence.

Today’s Challenge: Set aside time to plead with God in prayer about an area needing restoration, seeking His mercy with a pure heart.
