Seek God’s Truth in Your Heart

“Your word is truth” (John 17:17)

Reflection:
David, a shepherd-turned-king, hides God’s word in his heart, saying, “I have hidden Your word to avoid sin” (Psalm 119:11), guiding his life through trials. His love for truth shaped his worship. John 8:32 promises truth sets us free, and Psalm 51:6 says God desires truth inwardly. Our hearts can harbor lies because it can be deceitful and fear distorts and pride deceives. Yet, David’s meditation on God’s word shows that truth anchors us.

Think about a time scripture steadied you—maybe a verse brought clarity. Earnestly pursuing righteousness calls us to let truth dwell within. Is there a heart area needing God’s truth? Like David, store His word—it will guide you. His truth didn’t just guide; it inspired psalms. Your heart could reflect truth too.

What heart area needs God’s truth?

Today’s Challenge: Memorize Psalm 119:11 and pray John 17:17: “Let Your truth dwell in me, Lord.” Reflect its truth in one decision, like David’s word that guided his heart.

Prayer: God of Truth, as David’s heart held Your word, root Your truth in me to guide my life. Let it shape my choices today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
