Seek God’s Purity in Love

“Love… does not delight in evil” (1 Corinthians 13:6)

Reflection:
Ruth, a foreigner in Bethlehem, shows pure love by pledging loyalty to Naomi, saying, “Where you go, I will go” (Ruth 1:16), a selfless act that blessed generations. 1 Peter 4:8 calls us to love deeply, and Psalm 24:4 blesses the pure in heart. Love can be tainted—selfishness creeps, motives blur. Yet, Ruth’s pure devotion shows that love aligned with God’s heart endures.

Think about a time your love blessed someone—maybe a selfless act strengthened a bond. Earnestly pursuing holiness urges us to love purely. Is there a relationship needing pure love? Like Ruth, show selfless devotion—it could honor God. Her love didn’t just support Naomi; it birthed a legacy. Your love could glorify God too.

What relationship needs pure love?

Today’s Challenge: Pray 1 Corinthians 13:6 over one relationship: “Let my love be pure, Lord.” Show one selfless act of love, like Ruth’s loyalty that blessed a lineage.

Prayer: God who gives pure love, as Ruth’s devotion honored You, purify my love to reflect Your heart. Let my actions bless others for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
