Day 19
Are You Listening for God?

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in.” (Revelation 3:20)

Reflection:
Samuel’s a kid, sleeping in the temple, when God’s voice cuts through the dark: “Samuel!” (1 Samuel 3:10). He stumbles, “Speak, Your servant’s listening,” and a prophet’s born. 1 Samuel 3:10 shows his response; Psalm 85:8 says, “I will listen to what God the Lord says.”

Have you ever heard a verse that felt personal? It could be the Holy Spirit knocking, like Samuel’s call. Life’s noise drowns Him out, but a quiet moment opens the door. Try sitting still today, inviting Him in. Samuel’s ear launched a ministry; your listening could launch His plan.

When’s a time you heard God’s voice?

Today’s Challenge: Spend five minutes quiet, praying Revelation 3:20 and 1 Samuel 3:10: “Speak, I’m listening.” Samuel’s night changed Israel; your pause could change you.

Prayer: God, Samuel’s open ear shows my distracted heart. Knock loud, help me hear Your voice, and open my life to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
