Day 19: Gratitude Fuels Pursuit

Scripture: …Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? (2 Samuel 7:18).

Reflection:
Is that your attitude before God? Wondering how He could bless someone like you? David’s gratitude in 2 Samuel 7:18 is one reason why God called him a man after His own heart. Romans 1:21 warns ingratitude blinds the heart: “For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him…” Psalm 107:2 urges proclaiming His goodness.

Diligent pursuit through praise keeps us focused on Him.

Ungrateful hearts grow cold, but gratitude ignites passion.

How can you thank God today? How can you develop a heart of gratitude for what He’s done for you?

Today’s Challenge:

  1. Make a list of your many blessings.
  2. Cross out any taken for granted.

Prayer:
Lord, let gratitude drive my pursuit. I repent of taking You for granted. Thank You for Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
