Day 35
Seek God Continually
*“Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his face continually.”* (1 Chronicles 16:11)
Reflection:
Daniel opened his windows toward Jerusalem and prayed three times a day, even when it meant facing a lions’ den death sentence (Daniel 6:10). Psalm 34:10 guarantees that “those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.” Psalm 105:4 urges us to “seek His face always.” Does your day feel fractured … rushing through the commute, drowning in meetings, barely keeping up with the kids?
Continual seeking isn’t about locking yourself in a prayer closet for hours. It’s more like breathing—simple, regular connection that keeps you tuned to heaven’s frequency all day long. Daniel’s balcony prayers didn’t just get him through Babylon; they promoted him to the second highest position in the empire. Regular interaction and time alone with God build an unshakable supply line that holds when crises hit. Try morning gratitude, a midday guidance request, evening release of the day—these simple pulses will completely change how you respond to stress. Your next thirty-second pause could be the thing that shuts the lions’ mouths in your life. Culture in this generation rewards constant hustle; the kingdom honors constant connection. Don’t let busyness break that rhythm. Consistent seeking means you’ll lack nothing you truly need.
What breaks your connection rhythm with God during the day?
Today’s Challenge: Set three phone alarms for 1 Chronicles 16:11 and Psalm 34:10. Pause thirty seconds at each one—morning for gratitude, midday for guidance, evening to listen. Daniel’s rhythm silenced the beasts.
Prayer: Omni-present God, Daniel’s defiant prayer rhythm shows me my slot-filled spirituality isn’t enough. Weave continual face-seeking into my daily breath so I lack no good thing. In Christ’s name, Amen.
