Day 24
Seeking God in Trials
“Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials of many kinds.” (James 1:2)
Reflection:
Paul and Silas are chained in a Philippi jail, backs bleeding, yet they’re singing hymns at midnight (Acts 16:25). Their worship shakes the cell, literally. 1 Peter 1:7 says trials prove your faith’s genuineness. Romans 5:3-4 adds, “Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character.”
What trial’s got you stuck? Paul and Silas didn’t curse the chains; they praised, and God broke them free. Your pain’s not pointless … pray through it, seeking His purpose. Their songs saved a jailer; your trust could shine in your storm.
What challenge needs God’s purpose today?
Today’s Challenge: Name your trial and pray James 1:2 and Romans 5:3-4 over it, asking for joy. Paul and Silas’s worship shook walls; yours could shake your trial.
Prayer: God, Paul and Silas’s midnight songs show joy in pain. Turn my trial into trust, revealing Your purpose as I seek You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
