Day 28
Seeking God Through Repentance
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out.” (Acts 3:19)
Reflection:
The prodigal son’s mired in pig mud, stomach growling, rehearsing his “I’m not worthy” speech (Luke 15:17). But his dad’s running, arms wide, before he finishes. Psalm 32:5 says, “I confessed… You forgave.” 1 John 1:9 promises, “He is faithful to forgive.”
Repentance isn’t groveling; it’s turning home, like the prodigal’s muddy trek. What’s your pig mud … bitterness, a secret habit, pride, envy, jealousy? Own it, and God’s grace runs to you. His return sparked a feast; your turnaround could spark freedom.
What’s one thing you’re hiding from God?
Today’s Challenge: Name your sin and write it down, pray 1 John 1:9 and Acts 3:19, then rip up the note. The prodigal’s return brought a party; your repentance could too.
Prayer: Father, the prodigal’s homecoming shows Your wild grace. Help me turn from my mess, trusting Your faithful forgiveness to set me free. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
