Day 20
Seeking God with Your Mind
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:2)
Reflection:
Solomon’s kneeling, asking God for wisdom over wealth, his mind fixed on leading right (1 Kings 3:9). God gives him more than he dreamed. Romans 12:2 says, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Philippians 4:8 urges, “Think about … what is true and honorable.”
What’s clogging your head—worries, distractions, fear? Solomon’s choice to focus on God’s truth guided a nation. Reset your mind today, like a compass pointing heavenward. Memorize a verse or two and let it steer your thoughts. Resolve to put God first and diligently seek Him. His wisdom shaped history; your renewed mind could shape your day.
What’s filling your mind instead of God’s truth?
Today’s Challenge: Memorize Colossians 3:2, saying it when thoughts wander. Read Philippians 4:8 too. Solomon’s mind led a kingdom; yours could lead to peace.
Prayer: God, Solomon’s clear head shows my scattered one. Fix my mind on Your truth, renewing me as I seek You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
