Day 29
Seeking God’s Kingdom Together
“For where two or three gather in My name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:20)
Reflection:
The Upper Room’s packed—120 outcasts, fishermen, ex-rebels, Mary still hurt from the cross, praying messy together (Acts 1:14). Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Psalm 133:1 adds, “How good … when God’s people live together in unity!”
Their awkward unity sparked Pentecost, saving thousands. Who’s your “two or three”? Your prayer group, a friend—together, you’re stronger. Their huddle changed the world; your connection could ignite something big.
What’s stopping you from deeper community?
Today’s Challenge: Text a friend Matthew 18:20 and Psalm 133:1, then pray together—call, gather somewhere. The Upper Room shook history; your prayers could too.
Prayer: God, the Upper Room’s unity shows my lone-ranger faith. Weave me into others, multiplying Your presence in our messy prayers and messy lives. In Your Son’s name, Amen.
