Day 18
Seeking God’s Strength in Weakness
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Reflection:
Gideon’s hiding in a winepress, threshing wheat, feeling like the weakest guy in Israel (Judges 6:15-16). God says, “I’m with you,” and turns his fear into a 300-man victory. Isaiah 40:29 says, “He gives strength to the weary.” Philippians 4:13 adds, “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”
Where’s your weak spot—exhaustion, doubt, busyness with other priorities? Gideon leaned into God’s grace, and it was enough. Name your struggle today; His power shines there. It’s not about your strength but His. Gideon’s small crew toppled an army (with God’s help); your weakness could showcase His might.
Where do you feel too weak to keep going?
Today’s Challenge: Name your weakness and pray 2 Corinthians 12:9 and Isaiah 40:29 over it. Gideon’s fear became victory; your struggle could too.
Prayer: God, Gideon’s winepress faith shows Your power in my weakness. Let Your grace carry me where I’m frail, shining through my cracks. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
