Day 57
Subject Line: Love God with All Your Strength
*“Love the Lord your God… with all your strength.”* (Mark 12:30)
Reflection:
Nehemiah poured every ounce of energy into rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls against ridicule and threats, declaring it was God’s work (Nehemiah 2:12). Colossians 3:23 says “whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord,” echoing Deuteronomy 6:5’s call to love God with all your strength. What task could you reframe as full-strength worship today?
Loving God with your effort turns sweat into sacred service … every hammer swing becomes holy. Nehemiah’s all-in labor didn’t just restore walls; it rebuilt a people’s identity and purpose. When you give maximum effort to His kingdom (work, family, ministry) it glorifies Him and multiplies impact. This world works for weekends; kingdom strength serves the eternal Rest. Offer that project, volunteering, or help to someone today as love poured out; watch ordinary effort become extraordinary offering.
How can you pour your strength into loving him today?
Today’s Challenge: Pick one task (work project, home chore, helping someone). Do it with Colossians 3:23 focus: “All my heart for you, Lord.” Nehemiah’s walls became worship.
Prayer: My God of strength, like Nehemiah’s threat-defying labor, help me love You with full strength, turning every effort into heart-poured worship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
