Day 140: Trusting God’s Sovereignty in the Pursuit
Scripture: Job 42:2

I know that You can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.

Are you surrendering to God’s sovereign plan as you seek Him? Romans 8:28 assures, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,” affirming His sovereign purpose. Proverbs 19:21 states, “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand,” urging trust in His unthwartable will.

Reflection: At the end of his trials, Job’s pursuit of God led him to a deeper trust in His sovereignty. Diligently pursuing God means surrendering to His perfect plan, even when we don’t understand it. Job’s journey teaches us that diligently seeking God transforms our perspective, aligning our hearts with His unthwartable purposes. Let this trust fuel your pursuit, knowing God’s plans for you are good.

Prayer: Sovereign Lord, I trust that Your purposes cannot be thwarted. Help me to seek You by surrendering my plans to Yours. Guide me to seek Your will above my own. Through Jesus I pray. Amen.
