Day 219: Pursuing God’s Wisdom in Service
Scripture: Genesis 40:6-7

When Joseph came to them in the morning, he saw that they were troubled. So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in custody… ‘Why are your faces downcast today?’

Are you pursuing God’s wisdom to serve others? James 1:5 promises, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously,” offering divine insight. Colossians 3:23-24 urges, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord,” encouraging service for God’s glory.

Reflection: Joseph pursued God by seeking His wisdom to serve Pharaoh’s officers, even in hardship. Diligently seeking God means using His wisdom to bless others. Joseph’s compassion and insight show that actively seeking God involves serving with God-given gifts, reflecting His heart to those around us.

Today’s Challenge: Look for someone in distress today (e.g., a coworker, neighbor). Offer a kind word or help, praying for God’s wisdom to guide your service.

Prayer: God of Wisdom, as Joseph served with Your wisdom, help me to diligently seek You by blessing others. Use my gifts to reflect Your love, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
