Trust God’s Purpose in Trials

“All things work together for good” (Romans 8:28)

Reflection:
Joseph, betrayed and enslaved, faces his brothers years later and declares, “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good” (Genesis 50:20). His journey from pit to palace wove a story of redemption, saving nations. Psalm 119:71 says affliction teaches God’s decrees, and Isaiah 55:9 lifts His ways above ours. Trials can feel like chaos—betrayal hurts, plans crumble. Yet, Joseph’s trust in God’s purpose turned pain into salvation.

Think about a time a hardship led to good—maybe a loss opened a new door. This month’s theme of trusting God’s plan urges us to see His design in trials. Is there a struggle you’re questioning? Like Joseph, trust God’s intent—it could redeem lives. His forgiveness didn’t just heal a family; it preserved a nation. Your trust could work for good too.

What trial conceals good intent?

Today’s Challenge: Pray Romans 8:28 over one trial: “Work this for good, Lord; I trust You.” Forgive someone tied to it and journal the outcome—like Joseph’s grace that saved many.

Prayer: Omniscient God, as Joseph’s pain wove Your redemptive plan, shape my trials for Your glory. Let trust turn my story to salvation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
