Live for God’s Righteousness

“Seek first His… righteousness” (Matthew 6:33)

Reflection:
Daniel, facing a lions’ den, prays faithfully three times a day, living for God’s righteousness despite a death decree (Daniel 6:10). His steadfast faith turned a king’s heart. Romans 1:17 says the righteous live by faith, and Psalm 34:15 assures God hears the righteous. The world’s pressures can sway us as fear tempts us and compromise calls us to settle. Yet, Daniel’s life shows that righteousness anchors us in God’s favor.

Think about a time you stood firm for God—maybe a choice reflected His truth. This month’s theme of pursuing righteousness calls us to live for Him. Is there an action where you can stand righteous? Like Daniel, stay faithful; it could shine His glory. His faith didn’t just survive; it changed a kingdom. Your righteousness could honor God too.

What action can live for God’s righteousness?

Today’s Challenge: Pray Matthew 6:33 over one action: “I seek Your righteousness, Lord; guide me.” Stand firm in one righteous act, like Daniel’s prayers that defied a decree.

Prayer: My God, my Righteous Defender, as Daniel’s faith honored You, guide my actions to live for Your righteousness. Let my life reflect Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
