Day 222
Find Strength in God’s Presence
“In Your presence there is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11)
Reflection:
Moses, once a fugitive trembling before a burning bush, later boldly pleads in the wilderness, “If Your presence doesn’t go with us, don’t send us from here” (Exodus 33:15). His journey from a stuttering shepherd to a nation’s leader was fueled by moments in God’s presence—face-to-face talks that left his face glowing with divine strength. Isaiah 41:10 assures us God strengthens and upholds us with His victorious hand, while Psalm 46:1 calls Him a present help in trouble. Life’s demands can drain us dry—work deadlines loom, family needs pull, dreams fade under pressure. Yet, Moses shows that lingering in God’s presence isn’t just a pause; it’s a power surge.
Think about a time a quiet moment with God recharged you.
Think about the sanctuary you have created where you sit, listen to worship music, sing to the Lord, pray prostrate before Him, and meditate in the presence of the Holy Spirit by focusing deeply on His Word. Don’t have one? Make one. Make a sacred space where you go meet God alone.
This month’s theme of trusting God through trials reminds us His presence is our strength’s source. Is there a weary spot in your life? Like Moses, step into His courts; it could light you up for the road ahead. His closeness didn’t just guide; it empowered an exodus. Your time with Him could spark unyielding strength too.
What weakness craves His strengthening presence?
Today’s Challenge: Journal one area of exhaustion, then pray Psalm 16:11: “Your presence fills me with joy, Lord; strengthen me.” Spend 15 minutes in worship, singing or reading a psalm aloud—like Moses, whose glory-filled encounters led a nation.
Prayer: Joy-Radiating Father, as Moses’ wilderness talks with You sparked a glowing strength, fill my tired heart with Your vibrant presence. Let Your nearness empower my every step. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
