Day 48: God’s Providence in Silence

Scripture: For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place… And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this? (Esther 4:14).

Reflection: Have you ever prayed for a year or two waiting on answers to a big issue only to have God respond in silence? It’s hard, isn’t it? It’s painful, isn’t it? It’s lonely in the valley of darkness during those times. Just because you don’t hear from God in obvious ways, doesn’t mean He’s not working something for your good and eventually, you’ll receive an answer. Esther’s proof. Pray He would open and close doors so you can know His will, then stay obedient! Again, remember, Esther’s proof.

Esther’s story shows God’s providence working silently (Esther 4:14; 2:17). Joseph’s trials proved it (Genesis 50:20). Pursuing God means trusting His unseen hand. Thank Him for past faithfulness and rest in His plan today.

Today’s Challenge: Thank God for past providence and trust Him in uncertainty today.

Prayer: Lord, I trust Your silent work. Guide my pursuit with faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
