Day 11
Is Your Heart Fully His?
“I seek You with all my heart; do not let me stray from Your commands.” (Psalm 119:10)
Reflection:
Josiah’s tearing his robes, his heart is wrecked, as he hears God’s long-lost law read aloud (2 Kings 23:3). Imagine how he must have felt at that moment. Idols clutter his land, but he smashes them, giving God his whole heart. Psalm 86:11 prays, “Give me an undivided heart.” Jeremiah 24:7 says, “I will give them a heart to know Me.”
What’s splitting your heart? A worry you won’t release? A dream you’re clutching? Josiah didn’t just tidy up—he burned the idols to ash, choosing God alone. That’s the kind of pursuit that shifts everything. Name one thing you’re holding back and hand it over – immediately. His reforms revived a nation; your surrender could revive your faith.
What’s one area you’re not giving fully to God?
Today’s Challenge: Journal one thing dividing your heart. Read Psalm 119:10 and Psalm 86:11 out loud, praying to give it all to Him. Josiah’s cleanup changed history; your surrender could too.
Prayer: God, Josiah’s all-in heart shows my divided one. Burn away what’s holding me back, give me an undivided love for You, and keep me close. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
