Live in God’s Holiness

“Be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16)

Reflection:
Isaiah, trembling before God’s throne, is purified by a burning coal, set apart to proclaim His word (Isaiah 6:7). His encounter transformed him into a bold prophet. Hebrews 12:14 says holiness lets us see God, and Leviticus 20:7 calls us to consecrate ourselves. Living holy can feel daunting in a flawed world because temptations tug and compromises tempt. Yet, Isaiah’s cleansing shows that God equips us for His call.

Think about a time you felt set apart … maybe an obedient act shone brightly. Earnestly pursuing holiness urges us to live for Him. Is there an action where you can reflect His holiness? Like Isaiah, say, “Here I am”—it could proclaim His truth. His purity didn’t just cleanse; it sent him to speak. Your holy life could shine too.

What action needs God’s holiness?

Today’s Challenge: Pray 1 Peter 1:16 over one choice: “Make me holy, Lord; set me apart.” Act purely in your most challenging situation or temptation … like Isaiah’s call that spoke God’s word.

Prayer: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God, Almighty, as Isaiah’s cleansing sent him for Your glory, set me apart to live Your holiness. Let my life proclaim Your truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
