Day 181: Pursuing God Through Bold Intercession
Scripture: Daniel 2:17-18

Then Daniel went to his house and made the matter known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, and told them to seek mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery…

As Christians, we could learn a lot from Daniel by rallying fellow Christians to pray often. Does your church gather solely in prayer to enjoy the power and privilege the living God has sanctioned?  If not, gather some prayerful Christians and move out in prayer. Prayer moves God to work in our lives.

Are you rallying others to join you in bold prayer for God’s intervention? Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together,” promoting communal faith. Matthew 18:19-20 promises, “Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven,” affirming united prayer’s power.

Reflection: When faced with the king’s impossible demand, Daniel rallied his friends to intercede, seeking God’s mercy together. Pursuing God includes bold intercession with others, uniting in prayer for His intervention. Daniel’s communal pursuit teaches us that seeking God with others amplifies our faith and invites His answers.

Today’s Challenge: Gather one or two believers today (in person or virtually) to pray for a shared concern, like a church need or personal crisis, to strengthen your collective pursuit of God.

Prayer: Merciful Lord, like Daniel and his friends, help me seek You through bold intercession. Unite my heart with others to seek Your mercy, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
