Day 211: Pursuing God Through Faithful Teaching
Scripture: Exodus 13:21-22

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light… Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night departed from before the people.

Are you following God’s guidance step by step in faith? Proverbs 3:5-6 advises, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths,” promising direction. Psalm 119:133 prays, “Keep steady my steps according to Your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me,” seeking faithful leading.

Reflection: Moses followed God’s guidance through the pillar of cloud and fire, trusting His presence to lead Israel. Earnestly pursuing God means seeking His direction with faith, even in uncertainty. Moses’ reliance on God’s visible guidance teaches us to diligently pursue Him by trusting His leading, step by step.

Today’s Challenge: Pray for God’s guidance in a specific decision today. Look for one sign of His direction (e.g., a Scripture, counsel) and follow it to deepen your pursuit.

Prayer: Guiding God, as Moses followed Your pillar, help me to earnestly pursue You by trusting Your direction. Lead me clearly in my journey, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
