Day 187: Pursuing God’s Call Despite Inadequacy
Scripture: Exodus 4:10-12

But Moses said to the Lord, ‘Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent… I am slow of speech and of tongue.’ Then the Lord said to him, ‘Who has made man’s mouth? … Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.’

Are you trusting God to equip you for His call, despite feeling inadequate? Isaiah 41:10 reassures, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand,” promising divine support. 2 Corinthians 12:9 states, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness,” highlighting strength in inadequacy.

Reflection: Moses felt inadequate for God’s call, yet he pursued it by trusting God’s empowerment. Actively seeking God means moving forward in faith, even when we feel unqualified. Moses’ reliance on God’s promise to be with him teaches us that diligently pursuing God involves surrendering our insecurities to His strength, trusting He equips those He calls.

Today’s Challenge: Identify a God-given task you feel unqualified for. Pray for His strength today and take one small step toward it, trusting He will guide your words and actions.

Prayer: Almighty God, like Moses, help me to earnestly pursue Your call despite my inadequacies. Equip me with Your strength and guide my steps, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
