Day 201: Pursuing God’s Glory Above Personal Desires
Scripture: Exodus 33:18

Moses said, ‘Please show me your glory.’

The highest aspiration of the soul is to see God in His glory. David desired it. Moses desired it. The Apostle Philip asked to see God, the Father. How about you? What’s your greatest desire? If seeing Jesus is not your greatest longing, keep cultivating your faith with diligence. When you come to know God, you won’t let anything stand in your way of wanting to see Him in His glory.

Are you desiring to know God’s glory more than personal benefits? Psalm 27:4 declares, “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord,” prioritizing His presence. 2 Corinthians 3:18 states, “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image,” linking glory to transformation.

Reflection: Moses’ bold request to see God’s glory reflects a heart consumed with chasing after God Himself, not just His blessings. His pursuit prioritized God’s presence over personal gain, teaching us that diligently seeking God focuses on knowing Him deeply. Moses’ desire for God’s glory inspires us to actively seek His face above all else.

Today’s Challenge: Spend 10 minutes in worship today, focusing solely on God’s glory (not your needs). Repeat this often in search of Him and not His blessings.

Prayer: Glorious God, like Moses, help me to earnestly pursue Your glory above all else. Reveal Yourself to me and deepen my love for You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
