Day 221: Pursuing God’s Glory in Promotion
Scripture: Genesis 41:16

Joseph answered Pharaoh, ‘It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.’

Are you pursuing God’s glory in moments of success? 1 Corinthians 10:31 instructs, “Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God,” urging God-centered achievement. Psalm 115:1 prays, “Not to us, O Lord, but to your name give glory,” emphasizing humility.

Reflection: Joseph pursued God by giving Him glory when elevated to interpret Pharaoh’s dreams. Seeking God means seeking His honor in success. Joseph’s humility teaches us that actively seeking God involves redirecting praise to Him, ensuring our achievements reflect His power.

Today’s Challenge: In a recent success (e.g., at work, home), share with someone how God enabled it. Pray today to give Him glory, fueling your pursuit.

Prayer: Glorious Lord, as Joseph honored You in promotion, help me to earnestly pursue You by giving You glory. Lord, help me to give you the glory. Lord, help me to give you the glory. Let my successes point to You – the Giver of blessings. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
