Day 263: Pursuing God’s Peace in Chaos

Scripture: Psalm 4:8

I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

David wrote this while men were hunting him. Not while life was calm. That is what makes it worth reading. Philippians 4:6-7 promises peace that guards the heart. John 16:33 promises peace in Christ, in the middle of tribulation, not after it ends.

Reflection: Peace is not the absence of chaos. It is confidence in the middle of it. If your peace depends on your circumstances calming down first, it is not the peace David had. God’s peace does not wait for quiet.

Today’s Challenge: The next chaotic moment today, stop and pray Psalm 4:8 out loud. Build one still moment into your day on purpose.

Prayer: Lord, You alone make me dwell in safety. Teach me to rest in You before the storm passes, not after. In Jesus’ name, amen.
