Day 191: Pursuing God’s Strength in Leadership
Scripture: Exodus 18:17-18

Moses’ father-in-law said to him, ‘What you are doing is not good. You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to do it alone.’

Are you seeking God’s strength by delegating and accepting help? Proverbs 11:14 states, “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety,” advocating wise counsel. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 notes, “Two are better than one … For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow,” highlighting community support.

Reflection: Moses learned to seek God’s strength by delegating leadership tasks, recognizing his limits. Earnestly pursuing God means relying on His provision through others, not just ourselves. Moses’ willingness to accept counsel shows that actively seeking God involves trusting His strength in community, knowing He works through His people.

Today’s Challenge: Ask a trusted Christian friend or mentor for advice on a leadership challenge today. Pray for God’s strength through their wisdom to enhance your pursuit of Him.

Prayer: Providing God, like Moses receiving counsel, help me to seek Your strength through others. Guide me in community to fulfill Your call, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
