Seek God’s Healing in Prayer

“The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well.” (James 5:15)

Reflection:
Hezekiah’s facing a death sentence, a prophet telling him his time’s up. But he turns to the wall, crying, praying with all his heart for God’s healing (2 Kings 20:2-5). God hears, granting 15 more years and a miraculous sign. Psalm 30:2 says, “I called to You for help, and You healed me,” and Matthew 8:17 declares, “He took up our infirmities.”

Whether it’s a physical ailment or an emotional wound, Hezekiah’s story shows us that God listens when we cry for healing. Maybe you’re dealing with a health struggle or a heart that’s been hurt. Hezekiah didn’t hold back his tears; he brought them to God, trusting in His power to restore.

Think about a time you prayed for healing and felt God’s touch, even in a small way. That’s His promise; He’s the Great Physician who cares about every part of you. Bring your need to Him today, believing He can work. Hezekiah’s prayer didn’t just extend his life; it fulfilled God’s bigger plan. Your prayer could bring the healing and hope you’re longing for.

What needs God’s healing touch?

Today’s Challenge: Pray James 5:15 and Psalm 30:2: “Lord, heal [this sickness].” Expect a sign. Hezekiah’s tears won years; yours could win life.

Prayer: God, Hezekiah’s wall-prayer shows Your healing heart. Please answer my prayer. Touch my pain with Your power, raising me up for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
