Day 192: Seeking God’s Face in Intimate Fellowship

Are you cultivating a friendship with God through personal time with Him? John 15:15 declares, “No longer do I call you servants… but I have called you friends,” inviting intimate relationship. Psalm 25:14 states, “The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He makes known to them His covenant,” linking reverence to closeness.

Reflection: Moses’ intimate relationship with God, speaking as friends, reflects a deep pursuit of His presence. Chasing after God means seeking personal fellowship with Him, beyond mere duty. Moses’ closeness to God teaches us that diligently pursuing God involves cultivating a friendship with Him through prayer and time in His presence.

Today’s Challenge: Spend 15 minutes in conversational prayer today, talking to God as a friend (be mindful, He is the holy and reverend God) about your joys and struggles. Commit to daily time with Him this week.

Prayer: Loving God, as Moses spoke with You face to face, help me to earnestly pursue You in intimate fellowship. Draw me into Your presence as my friend, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
