Day 210: Seeking God’s Forgiveness for Others
Scripture: Exodus 32:31-32

So Moses returned to the Lord and said, ‘Alas, this people has sinned a great sin… But now, if you will forgive their sin—but if not, please blot me out of your book that you have written.’

Are you interceding sacrificially for others’ forgiveness? Romans 9:3 echoes Paul’s heart, “For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers,” modeling sacrificial prayer. 1 John 5:16 instructs, “If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life,” promoting intercession.

Reflection: Moses’ bold intercession, offering himself for Israel’s sin, reflects a heart chasing after God’s mercy for others. Pursuing God means seeking His forgiveness not just for ourselves but for those who’ve strayed. Moses’ sacrificial prayer shows that diligently seeking God involves standing in the gap, pleading for His grace on behalf of others.

Today’s Challenge: Pray for someone who has sinned or hurt you, asking for God’s forgiveness and restoration for them. Reach out with a kind gesture to reflect your pursuit.
Prayer: Forgiving God, as Moses interceded for Israel, help me to earnestly pursue You by seeking mercy for others. Use my prayers to bring healing, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
