Day 226: Seeking God’s Guidance in Unexpected Roles
Scripture: Genesis 39:2-4

The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man… His master saw that the Lord was with him… and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had.

Are you seeking God’s guidance in unexpected roles? Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and he will make straight your paths,” promising divine direction. Psalm 32:8 assures, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you,” offering God’s guidance.

Reflection: Joseph pursued God by seeking His guidance when thrust into managing Potiphar’s house. Diligently seeking God means trusting His direction in roles we didn’t choose. Joseph’s faithfulness in slavery shows that earnestly pursuing God involves seeking His wisdom to steward every opportunity, knowing He is with us in every circumstance.

Today’s Challenge: Reflect on an unexpected responsibility you’re facing. Pray for God’s guidance today and take one action to steward it faithfully, deepening your pursuit of Him.

Prayer: Lord, as Joseph sought You in unexpected roles, help me to love You by trusting Your direction. Equip me to serve You faithfully, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
