Day 178: Seeking God’s Peace in Chaos
Scripture: Daniel 6:21-22

Then Daniel said to the king, ‘O king, live forever! My God sent his angel and shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him…’

Are you finding peace in God’s presence during chaotic times? Philippians 4:7 promises, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus,” offering supernatural peace. Isaiah 26:3 states, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You,” linking peace to trust.

Reflection: Daniel’s calm response after surviving the lions’ den reflects a heart that found peace in God’s presence amid chaos. Pursuing God means seeking His peace when circumstances are overwhelming. Daniel’s trust in God’s protection allowed him to face danger with serenity, encouraging us to pursue God as our source of calm in life’s storms.

Today’s Challenge: In a stressful situation today, pause for 5 minutes to pray Philippians 4:6-7, asking for God’s peace. Commit to seeking His presence in chaos daily this week.

Prayer: God of Peace, like Daniel in the lions’ den, help me to trust You by seeking Your peace in chaos. Fill me with Your calm, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
