Day 255: Seeking God’s Restoration in Weakness

Scripture: Psalm 23:1-3

“The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul, He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

Isaiah 40:31 promises renewed strength to those who wait on the Lord. Matthew 11:28 is Christ’s own invitation to the weary: come to Me, and I will give you rest.

Reflection:

A shepherd does not just protect sheep from wolves. He makes them lie down when they are too exhausted or too stubborn to rest on their own. God’s restoration often looks like being forced to stop, not being given more energy to keep pushing. If you are running on empty, the answer is not another push. It is the pasture David describes.

Today’s Challenge:

The next time weakness hits you today, stop and pray Psalm 23 slowly. Let yourself actually rest instead of pushing through.

Prayer:

My Shepherd, restore my soul the way You restored David’s. Lead me to rest instead of letting me run myself into the ground. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
