Day 119: The Power of Prayer
Scripture: Job 42:8-10

“Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams… and my servant Job shall pray for you… And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends.”

Who needs your prayers today? In Job 42:8-10, God instructs Job’s friends to seek his prayers, and Job’s intercession leads to restoration. Luke 6:28 calls us to “pray for those who abuse you.” Praying for others, even those who hurt us, aligns our hearts with God’s love and draws us closer to Him.

Reflection: Job’s prayers for his friends, who had wrongly judged him, demonstrate the transformative power of praying for others. Diligently seeking God through prayer for others shifts our focus from ourselves to His heart of love and mercy. This act of selflessness not only blesses others but deepens our own pursuit of God, as we reflect His compassion. Today, let praying for others be a way to seek God’s kingdom and draw nearer to Him.

Today’s Challenge: Pray for someone who has hurt you or is struggling. Ask God to bless and guide them, trusting Him to work in their life.
