Day 129: Trusting God’s Knowledge of Your Path
Scripture: Job 23:8-10

“Behold, I go forward, but he is not there, and backward, but I cannot perceive him… But He knows the way that I take; when He has tried me, I shall come out as gold.”

When God seems absent, do you trust He knows your way? In Job 23:8-10, Job declares, “Behold, I go forward, but He is not there, and backward, but I cannot perceive Him … But He knows the way that I take; when He has tried me, I shall come out as gold.” This assures us that seeking God in hidden seasons refines our faith. Proverbs 16:9 states, “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Trusting His oversight encourages persistent pursuit.

Reflection: Job’s confidence that God knew his path sustained him through trials. Earnestly seeking God means trusting that He sees and directs our steps, even when we can’t sense Him. This faith allows trials to refine us, like gold, as we pursue Him diligently. Today, seek God by resting in His sovereign knowledge of your journey.

Today’s Challenge: Meditate on a trial you’re facing. Affirm in prayer that God knows your path and will refine you through it.

Prayer: Father, even when I can’t see You, I trust You know my way. Refine me as gold as I seek You diligently, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
