Wait on God’s Promises

“God’s promises… are ‘Yes’ in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 1:20)

Reflection:
Abraham counts stars, trusting God’s promise of countless descendants, and his wait births a nation (Genesis 15:4-5). Hebrews 6:15 says he obtained the promise, and Psalm 130:5 calls us to hope in His word.

Waiting on promises tests our faith, but Abraham shows it’s worth it. He didn’t see the full picture, yet he trusted God’s word.

Think about a time a promise came true after a long wait—maybe a prayer answered in time. This month’s theme of trusting God’s timing reminds us to hold fast. Is there an old promise you’re doubting? Like Abraham, keep believing—it could multiply beyond imagination. His faith didn’t just bring Isaac; it birthed nations. Your wait could fulfill God’s word too.

What generational promise needs anchor-faith?

Today’s Challenge: Declare Hebrews 6:15 over an old promise: “Through faith/patience, I obtain.” Remember, Abraham birthed nations through waiting.

Prayer: Lord God, just as Abraham’s decades-long grip produced uncountable descendants, deepen my anchor—where patient faith releases my inheritance of Your blessings in this generation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
