Day 74: When God Delays – David

Scripture: David was thirty years old when he began to reign… (2 Samuel 5:4).

Reflection:
DELAY IS NOT DENIAL … it’s character boot camp.

David was anointed king as a teen (1 Samuel 16), then spent over 10 years dodging spears, hiding in caves, eating scraps. Every cave psalm was training for the throne … learning mercy for enemies, worship in darkness, leadership under fire.

Your crown is coming but first, the cave. The cave isn’t cruelty; it’s crowning preparation.

Name one lesson from the wait. Praise for it.

Delay refines royalty. Only broken kings can rule with wisdom.

2. Sing in the cave—worship now.

Prayer: Lord, forge me like David. I trust the cave. I pursue the crown You prepare. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
