Find Strength in God’s Word

“Your word is a lamp for my feet” (Psalm 119:105)

Reflection:
Ezra, returning from exile, devotes himself to studying and teaching God’s law, sparking a revival in a broken Israel (Ezra 7:10). His love for scripture turned ruins into worship. Hebrews 4:12 says God’s word is living and active, and Psalm 119:28 strengthens the weary with its truth. Life’s darkness can leave us lost—decisions falter, paths blur. Yet, Ezra shows that God’s word lights the way, guiding every step.

Think about a time when worshiping in your private room brought clarity … when deep worship brought you as close to God’s presence as you have ever been. During trials, lean into His Word. Is there an area where you’re stumbling? Like Ezra, dive into scripture; it could illuminate your path. His study didn’t just teach; it rebuilt a nation. Your time in God’s word could strengthen you too.

What area starves for Word-strength?

Today’s Challenge: Read Psalm 119:105–112 and pray: “Your word lights my way, Lord.” Apply one verse to a challenge today—like Ezra’s teaching that sparked revival.

Prayer: God who supplied Holy Words to communicate with man, as Ezra’s study restored Your people, light my darkness with Your living truth. Let Your word strengthen my steps. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
