Day 12: God’s Perspective on Blessings

Scripture: …it seemed to me a wearisome task, until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I discerned their end (Psalm 73:16-17).

Reflection:
Earthly blessings can look appealing, but God’s perspective changes everything. Asaph struggled with envy, seeing the wicked prosper, until he entered God’s sanctuary and saw their true end (Psalm 73:25-26: “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.”). Romans 2:4 reminds us God’s kindness is meant to lead to repentance.

Diligent pursuit through prayer seeks that eternal view, not temporary gains. Chasing blessings distracts; entering His sanctuary (through worship or Scripture) aligns us with truth.

Are you chasing blessings or God? Because His presence is the only thing that lasts.

Today’s Challenge:

1. Make a list of blessings you envy.
2. Cross out the temporary focus.

Prayer:
Lord, show me Your truth. I repent of chasing fleeting gains. Guide my pursuit to Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
