Live a Holy Life Today

“Be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16)

Reflection:
Enoch, in a world steeped in sin, walks so closely with God that he’s taken to heaven without death (Genesis 5:24). His life of holiness set him apart, pleasing the God he loved. Hebrews 12:14 says holiness is needed to see God, and Leviticus 19:2 calls us to be holy. The world’s noise can drown out holiness because temptations pull and distractions crowd. Yet, Enoch’s daily walk shows that holiness is a lifestyle of devotion.

Think about a time you felt set apart for God—maybe an obedient act shone brightly. This month’s theme of pursuing holiness urges us to live for Him. Is there an action where you can reflect His holiness? Like Enoch, walk closely; it could draw you nearer. His life didn’t just please God; it left a legacy. Your holy living could shine too.

What action can reflect God’s holiness?

Today’s Challenge: Choose one action (e.g., kindness, honesty) and pray 1 Peter 1:16: “Make me holy, Lord; set me apart.” Act with purity, like Enoch’s walk that honored God.

Prayer: Holy Sanctifying God, as Enoch’s walk drew him to You, shape my actions to reflect Your holiness. Let my life shine Your presence today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
