Day 226
Persevere Through Challenges
“Let us run with perseverance” (Hebrews 12:1)
Reflection:
Paul, battered by beatings, shipwrecks, and a thorn in his flesh, presses on, eyes fixed on God’s high calling (Philippians 3:13-14). His scars told a story of grit, planting churches despite relentless opposition. James 1:12 crowns the steadfast, and Galatians 6:9 promises a harvest for those who endure. Challenges can feel like endless mountains—setbacks sting, progress slows. Yet, Paul’s perseverance wrote letters that still ignite faith.
Think about a time you pushed through and saw God’s hand—maybe a hard season bore unexpected fruit. God’s timing urges us to keep running. Is there an obstacle tempting you to quit? Like Paul, focus on the prize—it could create something eternal. His endurance didn’t just finish a race; it spread the Gospel. Your grit could glorify God too.
What challenge demands enduring stamina?
Today’s Challenge: Journal one obstacle and pray Hebrews 12:1: “I run with perseverance, Lord; keep me focused.” Take one intentional step forward—like Paul’s prison letters that echo today.
Prayer: God who renews strength, as Paul’s battered race carried Your Gospel, strengthen my steps through challenges. Let my perseverance shine Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
