Subject Line: Pray for Unity Among Believers

“That all of them may be one.” (John 17:21)

Reflection:
Paul writes to Corinth, pleading for unity amid factions over leaders like Apollos and himself (1 Corinthians 1:10). His call restores their focus on Christ, sparking revival. Ephesians 4:3 urges preserving unity, and Psalm 133:1 celebrates harmony’s blessing.

Unity is a prayer Jesus Himself prayed. Paul didn’t let division fester; he addressed it with love, uniting the church.

Think about a time your church overcame a split … maybe through prayer or a shared goal. Unity strengthens our pursuit of God. Is there a division in your church that needs prayer? “Cliques” or groups of people who don’t include the entire church? Your intercession could heal it, like Paul’s did. His appeal didn’t just unify Corinth; it fueled a movement. Your prayer could restore your church’s oneness and ensure all members feel invited and welcome to all gatherings.

What believer-group needs unity-intercession?

Today’s Challenge: Pray 1 Corinthians 1:10 over a divided group: “Perfect unity—no divisions.” Paul’s appeal restored the single-focus church.

Prayer: God, who hates division among His church, just as Paul’s apostolic appeal dissolved Corinthian factions, empower church unity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
