Day 231: Pursuing God’s Forgiveness for Others
Scripture: Genesis 45:7-8

And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth… So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh…

Are you pursuing God’s grace to forgive others? Colossians 3:13 urges, “As the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive,” modeling divine grace. Matthew 6:14 promises, “If you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,” linking forgiveness to blessing.

Reflection: Joseph pursued God by forgiving his brothers, seeing their betrayal as part of His plan. Seeking God means seeking His grace to forgive those who’ve wronged us. Joseph’s perspective teaches us that actively seeking God involves releasing others’ sins, trusting His sovereignty to redeem every situation.

Today’s Challenge: Write a prayer forgiving someone who hurt you, asking God to show you His purpose in it. Take one step toward reconciliation to deepen your pursuit.

Prayer: Forgiving God, as Joseph extended grace, help me to diligently seek You by forgiving others. Reveal Your purpose in my pain, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
