Seek God’s Will in Hard Times

“Teach me to do Your will” (Psalm 143:10)

Reflection:
Esther, facing a death sentence for approaching the king uninvited, fasts and prays for three days, seeking God’s will in a life-or-death crisis (Esther 4:16). Her courage, born of surrender, saved her people from genocide. Romans 12:2 calls us to discern God’s perfect will, and Psalm 40:8 delights in His ways. Hard times can obscure God’s plan—fear clouds, emotions sway. Yet, Esther’s prayerful seeking clarified her purpose, turning peril into triumph.

Think about a time prayer revealed God’s will—maybe a tough choice aligned with His heart. God’s plan urges us to seek His will in trials. Is there a hardship confusing you? Like Esther, fast and pray; it could unveil His purpose. Her obedience didn’t just save her; it saved a nation. Your surrender could shift history.

What hardship obscures His will?

Today’s Challenge: Fast one meal and pray Psalm 143:10: “Teach me Your will, Lord; guide my steps.” Act on one clear prompting—like Esther’s fast that saved thousands.

Prayer: God, as Esther’s fast revealed Your saving plan, clarify my trials with Your perfect will. Let my obedience shape eternity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
