Repent for God’s Renewal

“Repent… for refreshment from the Lord” (Acts 3:19)

Reflection:
Peter, after denying Jesus three times, weeps bitterly but is restored when Jesus asks, “Do you love Me?” (John 21:17), renewing his call to serve. Psalm 32:5 celebrates forgiven guilt, and Lamentations 5:21 pleads for restoration to God. Sin can leave us weary as regret drains us and failure weighs on us. Yet, Peter’s repentance shows that turning back brings God’s refreshing grace.

Think about a time repentance lifted you—maybe confession renewed your purpose. Diligently seeking righteousness calls us to repent for renewal. Is there a sin dimming your spirit? Like Peter, return to Jesus—it could refresh you. His repentance didn’t just restore; it launched his ministry. What can your turning do?

What sin needs repentance for renewal?

Today’s Challenge: Pray Acts 3:19 over one sin: “I repent for Your refreshment, Lord.” Do one act of service to reflect renewal, like Peter’s restoration that fed God’s sheep.

Prayer: Renewing Savior, as Peter’s repentance restored his call, refresh my soul through turning back to You. Let Your grace renew my purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
