Seek God Through Encouragement

“Encourage one another daily.” (Hebrews 3:13)

Reflection:
Barnabas arrives in Antioch, seeing God’s work and encouraging the new believers to stay faithful (Acts 11:23). His words spark explosive growth, turning a small group into a thriving church. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 calls us to build each other up, and Proverbs 12:25 says encouragement cheers the heart.

A kind word can change everything. Barnabas didn’t criticize; he saw potential and spoke life, fueling a movement.

Think about a time someone’s encouragement lifted your faith—maybe a seasoned evangelist’s affirmation. Is there a ministry or person who needs a boost? Your words could ignite growth, like Barnabas did. His encouragement didn’t just help Antioch; it shaped the early church. Your support could strengthen someone’s faith today.

What ministry needs growth-encouragement?

Today’s Challenge: Affirm one leader’s potential by encouraging fellow Christians to use their gifts, their talents to expand God’s kingdom. Barnabas exploded the Antioch church. What can your encouraging words do to spread the name of Jesus?

Prayer: O’ God, who gives the increase to those who plant and water the Words of Jesus. Just as Barnabas’ affirmation turned Antioch trickle into multiplication, guide us Lord with seeking and saving the lost. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
