Seek God’s Truth in Obedience

“Teach me Your way… and I will walk in Your truth” (Psalm 86:11)

Reflection:
Ezra, returning from exile, devotes himself to studying, obeying, and teaching God’s law, sparking a revival that rebuilt Israel’s faith (Ezra 7:10). His obedience turned a nation back to God. John 8:32 says truth sets us free, and Psalm 119:160 declares God’s words eternally true. Obedience can feel hard, can’t it? Comfort tempts us with an easier path, and if we are not careful, we resist obedience because it’s the harder, more disciplined path. Yet, Ezra’s faithfulness shows that walking in God’s truth brings freedom.

Think about a time obeying God clarified your path—maybe a command opened a door. Pursuing righteousness calls us to seek truth through obedience. Is there a command you’re resisting? Like Ezra, follow it; it could spark renewal. His obedience didn’t just teach; it transformed a nation. Your truth-seeking could change lives too.

What command needs obedient truth-seeking?

Today’s Challenge: Read one command in scripture and pray Psalm 86:11: “Teach me Your truth, Lord; I’ll obey.” Follow it today—like Ezra’s obedience that revived Israel.

Prayer: God of Truth, as Ezra’s obedience restored Your people, guide me to walk in Your truth. Let my steps spread Your freedom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
